More about Gina Farncombe

Gina is predominantly a landscape painter. She has a wealth of inspiration on her doorstep by living high in the Cumbrian Fells. Recently she has been painting a herd of Belted Galloway’s who are grazing on the fell land all around her house.

When asked why she paints what she does - she said “My painting is all about exploring the world around me wherever I am. It’s probably about story telling more than anything else - but I have this inner conversation with myself about my relationship with the subject - the colour - the form - the atmosphere and the emotion - call it love. It’s very addictive and I never get it right but just have to keep doing it - probably it’s an addiction !”
